I have finally found a Kammerlader. But it needs a lot of work to return it to its former glory.

I had an old Birch butt stock from a Swedish rolling block that I cut up for the end of the stock. I will have to make an end cap.

But I need help because I do not know what they looked like or how they fit on the stock. Was the stock inletted for it or did it just go over the end and held on with the spring?

If anyone has some close-up pictures of the end cap they sure would help.

Many thanks, John

I'll have to look when I get home, but mine is led on by a band spring, I also think it is also inletted on the top surface to partially surround the front sight base.  Will get back to you on that.

One photo I forgot to take, when viewed from the front, the band is closed with the expection of the hole for the muzzle and a small notch to pass the bayonet lug through, which is at 6 o'clock under the muzzle hole.
