How many grains of black powder should I be using in my M1855 kammerlader?

I would say that depends on which bullet you are using. The original load used with the 1855 conical was 96 grains of a Fg equivalent powder. If you haven't shot your kammerlader before I would have started on about 70 grains and worked my way up.
